Clap on, Clap Off

So you've heard of the clapper right? The light you can clap on and off? Well, now its made a debut on Windows! This is a nifty little program that will listen for claps, and do stuff after a clap sequence is made. It comes with a lot of functions standard, but has an easy to use SDK so that you can build your own!

Step 1: Download and Install

1. You get download the binary from here. Go to the download directory if you want other versions or the source, which has been released to the public.

2. Just install like any other program.

Step 2: Configure and Use

1. First, make sure you have a microphone built in, or have one connected. Enable it in the control panel if it isn't already.

2. Click on the clapper icon in your system tray, and the configuration menu will pop up.

3. From here, click "Add" to add functions for claps, and "Edit" to ...you guessed it... edit them later.

4. That's it! You can select different functions for say 1 clap versus 2 claps. Get creative! You can go here to see the official video that shows a few cool features.

  6. This seems kind of useful. Clap to open up Firefox or something when you come into the room. I'll give it a shot.
